The project scope consists of design, development, integration, delivery, and logistical support of avionics, communications, and tactical environment upgrades to the VH-60N and VH-3D Presidential Helicopter Aircrew Procedures Trainers (APTs). The devices are located at MCAF Quantico, VA. The project includes:
- Porting the onboard System Control Unit (SCU) 8.2C OFP to a PC platform
- Upgrading the HF and SATCOM radio models to include Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) and Demand Assignment Multiple Access (DAMA) capability
- Integrating upgraded TEN systems
- Procuring and integrating ASTi Telestra systems with legacy DACS
- Re-architecting the networks within and between the Trainers
